Materials Accepted

We reserve the right to refuse any material or customer at management’s discretion.

We do not accept the following goods or materials for disposal or recycling:

Radioactive material.
Sealed containers.
Hazardous waste
Vehicles with propane or natural gas tanks still attached.
Any material made from or contaminated by asbestos.
Transformers which still contain oil.
Capacitors on electric motors and switch-gear which are not identified as non-PCB.
Any whole refrigeration equipment that has not been certified empty of Freon. This includes refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners and dehumidifiers.
Hazardous metal dust (i.e. lead dust, cadmium dust).

Selenium (photocopier roller drums).
Magnesium turnings.
Excessive amounts of garbage.
Oil cooled transformers that once contained PCBs.
Ballast capacitors from lighting fixtures which are not clearly identified as non-PCB.
Any items originating, or appear to have originated, from a grave site, monument or public property. Tri Province will require proof of ownership for any items in question.
Temperature gauges, thermostats, manometer switches or any other materials that contain mercury.
Metal that is excessively dirty or covered with soil.
Metal that is covered with excessive concrete.

We can only accept the following items according to special terms below:

Drums: lids removed, clean, dry, no hazardous residues.
Large tanks: clean and dry, valves removed (manholes open, ready for inspection). Allowances will be made for any dirt, mud or garbage.
Refrigeration equipment must be certified empty of Freon.
Vehicles with tires: accepted with a deduction of weight for each tire.
